cat-faceThis week, a friend and I are running our own little “budding entrepreneurs” summer camp for our kids. We each have a rising 1st grader, a rising 2nd grader, and a “baby sister.”

Our friends, the Ls, run a business from their home. We will leverage their business experience plus my blogging, writing and recipe creation to hopefully give the kids an opportunity to create and run their own small business this week.

Mama L and I both traveled with kids last week, though, so our plans are, shall we say, very fluid? But we wanted the week to be laid-back, fun and creative for all so we are not stressing.

The kids have dubbed the week Camp MEOW, because their names start with M, E, O and W. (Poor baby sisters didn’t make the acronym cut.)

So, for your purposes, you should know that I have suspended all my regularly scheduled blogging activities and will be updating you with dispatches from Camp MEOW. Look for tweets and Facebook posts from the kids as they learn about social media.

And, hopefully, we will have some fun tales to tell.

Hopefully the tales, will not be of the little ones pulling tails. Any pets involved in this endeavor? I have always wondered how we teach our children to care and love pets. The loving part is easy, but the caring(for), not so much. And part of caring is paying for, but that seems to be an afterthought. Have a great week.
