Today I am launching “Explore More” where I send you on a fun little adventure around the internet for interesting, beautiful, exciting, yummy, or otherwise engaging finds I’ve made.

Feel free to share your recent explorations in the comments here or on Facebook, or via Twitter.

Here we go!

Elana Amsterdam of Elana’s Pantry is releasing her first cookbook, The Gluten-Free Almond Flour Cookbook, in an e-book version.  I have and love my hard copy.

I knew that the idea that pregnancy is exactly 40 weeks long was ill-conceived … I’m so punny! …. but I didn’t know the full story behind the miscalculation until I read this.

There is new evidence that physical activity can preserve brain volume in seniors.

One of my faves, Diane Sanfilippo’s Practical Paleo, made the New York Times Bestseller list this week!  If you only buy one paleo book, this is the one to get.  It’s simple yet thorough and features loads of hows and whys in addition to excellent recipes.

On a cursory reading, I love this piece from Primal Docs on 7 Common Exercise Mistakes Women Make.  I can’t wait to really pick through it.

Warm Apple Pie Pots from the gorgeous blog ROOST.  I can’t eat nuts so these are a no-go for me, but it would be a sin to keep them from you guys!

I promoted this a few times on Facebook but just in case someone missed it, here’s a great piece from Chris Kresser on the relationship between gut issues and skin issues.  If you have any skin problems, this is a must-read.  Don’t forget to read through the comments, too.  There are a lot of good testimonials there.

I think that’s enough for our first Explore More post.

Now it’s time for you to share your finds!

“They found that for first time mothers (nulliparas) pregnancy lasted an average of 288 days (41 weeks 1 day).” I’ve always wondered why Anna, who was induced when I was 41 weeks 2 days, was only 6 lb 15 oz. I expected a bigger baby since everyone said she was “overdue.” Based on this article, she wasn’t overdue. And maybe that’s why I didn’t go into labor on my own. Lots to ponder.
