I’m going wild this week, bringing you Explore More on Sunday night instead of last Friday.

(The hubby’s been traveling like a madman and I’ve been doing well to get my teeth brushed each day.)

Apologies for the tardiness, but I had so much information that I knew I couldn’t skip a week!

I’ve GOT to start making my own kombucha before my habit starts eating away at our retirement savings.  (Do you brew ‘buch?  If so, comment and let me know your favorite tips.)

Meanwhile, this lacto-fermented orange juice may be just the ticket.

Berry season is nearly upon us, depending on your location.  GrassFedGirl has got me excited with this recipe for Blackberry Cobbler.  Okay, that’s a lie.  I was already excited.  This has me itching to cook!

Who wouldn’t want this amazing Whipped Body Butter to slather on after a bath?

I know it’s not exactly springtime fare, but this pumpkin cake from Civilized Caveman looks fabulous.

My daughter is a ketchup fiend!  I have found exactly one brand that is both organic and honey-sweetened, and they must have ceased production because I can only find it on Amazon … where a pack of six is selling for upwards of $130!  She told me that I should just spend the money on the ketchup, but instead I am going to try this recipe from An Oregon Cottage and also this lacto-fermented version from Food Renegade.  Surely one of these will fit the bill?

This study indicates that little children are less picky about their food when they have siblings around.

Green space is good for cities and it’s good for people and this study shows some reasons why:

Neighbourhood green space was related to better cardiovascular and mental health in a New Zealand Health Survey, independent of individual risk factors. Although physical activity was higher in greener neighbourhoods, it did not fully explain the green space and health relationship.

OMG this chocolate cake looks amazing.  I can’t eat nuts.  Gah!  It’s from Zenbelly.

I’ve been playing with roasted pork belly on my own, but next time I buy it this recipe from Jan’s Sushi Bar will be my go to preparation.

Mommypotamus offers up these Fudge Popsicles that I am dying to make with the kiddos.

I’ve been noodling over a breakfast meatball recipe in my head, but PaleOMG’s version may just hit the spot.  Bacon.  Maple.  Meatballs.  Yes.

The Coconut Mama’s homemade Mounds candies look awesome.

Do you get tired of reading about “local” this and “free range” that?  Think real foodies are elitist?  Well, we just want to eat actual FOOD.  (Warning, it’s got some adult language in it.)

My new blog-crush, Betty Rawker, has done it again with a version of Cherry Garcia ice cream.

I am so eager to make these taco shells from cauliflower!  My mom made them this week and heartily recommends them.

Are you dieting, eating loads of fiber and drinking oodles of H20?  You may be stressing yourself and your metabolism.

Yikes!  I have SO MUCH MORE to share with you!  But it’s late and I need to get ready for the week.  So, keep exploring and I will be back with more soon.

Thanks to you for sharing it! Seriously, my habit is becoming pricey and I need to just bite the bullet and give it a go!

I bought a brew kit but haven’t started it yet. I need to just take the plunge. I’m so afraid I’ll screw it up.
And I’m pretty sure you just found my birthday cake.

Zenbelly puts out some amazing stuff, and this may “take the cake!” 😉

Where did you get your kit? I am making myself read WILD FERMENTATION by Sandor Katz before I delve too far into all this fermenting. I want to understand it better before I play and I think that will ease my anxieties a bit.
