I know it’s been a few weeks since I’ve gotten an Explore More out there. Apologies, but I tried to minimize my exposure to screens while on Spring Break with the kiddos. Consequently, I have lots of stuff for you this week, so let’s dive on in.

Slim Palate created one of the most gorgeous cookie recipes that I have seen – Dark Chocolate Chewy Cookies with Sea Salt. They use almond butter as a base. They are absolutely on my treat list now.
Lately my bone broth has consisted of water, bones, and apple cider vinegar. I’ve dispensed with the veggies and honestly, I don’t miss them at all. Simplify, simplify, simplify! For a different kind of bone broth, check out this recipe for fish stock.

Moving on to some parenting talk, maybe you’ve read that praising kids doesn’t seem to help them very much? That’s all well and good, but it’s not helpful if you don’t know what else to say and do instead. Luckily, Dr. Laura Markham has this great write up.
Siblings. Fights. They go together like chocolate and peanut butter, don’t they? GAH! I really, really liked this piece from Hand in Hand Parenting about how to defuse a sibling fight if you get there too late to stop it. (I really like the comparison to the basketball referee.)
Hubby and I are due for a serious heart-to-heart about reducing stress in our lives. This article on reducing stress for kids (again from Dr. Laura Markham) will play a key role in that conversation.
One more from Dr. Laura! Did you know that 23% of teen girls will develop an eating disorder? I know that’s something a lot of my friends who have daughters worry about. Dr. Laura offers up some preventative strategies for us all to keep in mind.
