I started working with Kristine nearly four years ago with the intention to get back in shape but I never could have imagined what would transpire.  I am not only more fit, but I have an awareness about my body in space and posture.  I also have a much deeper understanding about how my body works and how to strengthen areas I didn’t even know existed or needed strengthening.  And what is really great about her instruction is that she uses common items that you would already have in your home or office and shows you how to adapt in those environments.  She also uses scenarios that you do everyday like unloading the dishwasher or picking up laundry so that you can easily continue your workout outside of the gym.  I have been balancing Kristine’s restorative workouts with other basic cardio and walking and feel great.  I catch myself daily with a posture alignment and continue to try and use my body in the proper way it was intended and implement tools from Kristine’s classes and guidance into the everyday world.

Restorative Exercise is having a noticeable positive effect on my balance, strength and pain levels.  I am so happy to find this program;  I have had a hard time finding  exercise strategies that are suitable for women >60. Attention to joints, balance, pelvic floor and back are crucial, and I am able to address those areas with Kristine’s instruction.

I’ve enjoyed exploring restorative fitness with Kristine. Although I don’t necessarily leave class feeling like I’ve had a strenuous workout, I have a greater awareness of how I hold my body in space and my posture. I think you’re never too young to start working on maintaining proper alignment of your body to prevent injuries.
